Trick-or-Street stores in New York City offer car-free Halloween fun

New York City’s Trick-or-Street stores offer car-free Halloween fun 00:39

NEW YORK — New York City is gearing up for Halloween with its third annual trick-or-street event.

More than 100 car-free events will be held across the five boroughs to ensure a fun and safe holiday for families. According to the Ministry of Transport, 147 roads will be opened across all five boroughs.

The event will continue until October 31st. The DOT said it is also planning events to celebrate Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in November.

Visit the DOT website for a complete list of trick-or-street events. There is also an interactive map showing where the event will be held.

There are also some signature events with live music, circus acts, clowns, jugglers and more.

A signature event on Trick-or-Street in the Bronx

October 26th, noon to 8pm: Fordham Road, Washington Avenue to Webster Avenue October 31st, 2:30pm to 8:30pm: Decatur Avenue, East 195th Street to East 193rd Street

Signature Brooklyn Trick-or-Street Events

October 26th, 3pm to 8pm: West Ninth Street to Hicks Street, Henry Street October 27th, 10am to 8pm: Berry Street, South Sixth Street to South Third Street

Manhattan’s Trick-or-Street Signature Event

October 26th, 2pm to 6pm: Audubon Street, West 166th Street to West 165th Street October 31st, 3pm to 8pm: Pell Street and Doyers Street, Bowery Street to Mott Street to

Queen’s Trick or Street Featured Events

October 30th, 3pm to 7pm: 165th Street, 89th Street to Jamaica Avenue October 31st, 3pm to 7pm: 31st Street, 35th Street to 33rd Street
