WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) – Early voting began Saturday in New York State.
In Lewis County, the polling place for early voters is located at the County Board of Elections building in Lowville. In St. Lawrence County, early voters can visit the Clarkson Facility building in Potsdam or the Ogdensburg Dobisky Center. There are three locations in Jefferson County where you can vote early: Adams City Hall, DePauville Fire Department, and the Jefferson County Courthouse in Watertown.
At the Jefferson County Courthouse, 7 News saw a consistent influx of early voters. Two of them, Tara Brezik and Jose Charneco, voted early to avoid crowds and enjoy the nice weather. This is the first time Mr. Charneco has voted in a presidential election.
“He (Charneco) was a Puerto Rican citizen while he was in the military, so he couldn’t vote in the presidential election,” Bretzik told 7 News. I’m excited.” For us. ”
Early voting begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. most days. This will continue every day until November 3rd.
