Where do Michigan voters stand in the Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers?

A week before Election Day, we’ve received the latest polling results showing where Michigan voters stand in the U.S. Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers.

According to our survey of voters October 22-24, Mr. Slotkin leads Mr. Rogers by 3.7 percentage points (46.2%-42.5%).

6.7% of voters were still undecided, and 4.7% chose a third choice.

These results are similar to an early October poll in which Slotkin led by 3.5% (46.8%-43.3%).

Among independent voters, Slotkin leads by a narrow 2.9% (39.2% to 36.3%).

Among Harris voters, 88.7% voted for Slotkin. Mr. Rogers accounts for 83.2% of Trump supporters.

Slotkin leads women by 20.9% (54.2%-33.3%) and Rogers leads men by 15.3% (52.6%-37.3%).

Among college voters, Slotkin leads with 13.2% (52.4% – 39.2%). Mr. Rogers led non-college voters by 2.9 percentage points (45-2%-42.3%).

In particular, Slotkin leads by 11.9% (49.4%-37.5%) among union households. Mr. Rogers leads non-union households, 44.6% to 43.3%.

How to vote

This investigation was commissioned by WDIV Local 4 News and the Detroit News. The Glengariff Group conducted a survey across the state, including likely general election voters.

From October 22 to 24, 2024, 600 people were surveyed by telephone. The survey had a margin of error of +/- 4% and a confidence level of 95%.

Of the respondents, 83.2% contacted by mobile phone and 16.8% by landline.
