LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A male pedestrian was hospitalized with unspecified injuries after being hit by a Metro A train in Los Angeles’ historic South Central neighborhood Saturday evening.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Maple Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday, Los Angeles Metro spokesman Dave Sotelo told City News Service.
Sotelo called pedestrians “trespassers.” His age was unknown.

“Metro reminds everyone that rail safety is a shared responsibility and encourages the public to abide by rail safety guidelines, including maintaining a safe distance from rail vehicles at all times,” Sotelo said. said.
