The Congress Central Election Committee (CEC) held a meeting at the AICC headquarters here on Monday to discuss candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Ramesh Chennithala, AICC in-charge of Maharashtra, said the CEC discussed a total of 63 seats in Maharashtra. The meeting was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, CPP leaders Sonia Gandhi and LoP Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary (Organizational) KC Venugopal, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patlu, and Chennithala. attended the meeting.
Chennithala said Maha Vikas Aghadi voters will meet in Mumbai on Tuesday and the final seat-sharing agreement for the Maharashtra assembly polls will be signed. A press conference has been scheduled for the allies in Mumbai, where details of seat-sharing will be announced.
