A teenage boy was arrested Monday on suspicion of killing five family members, including three young children, inside a mansion in Washington state.

Two adults and three teenagers were shot to death inside a tony house in the Seattle suburb of Fall City around 5 a.m. Monday, King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mike Mellis said. was discovered.

The other victim hid in the bathroom and managed to call 911, KIRO 7 reported.

“It appears to be a family incident, a domestic violence incident involving a young person with serious issues, and a firearm incident,” Melis said of the situation.

The boy was scheduled to be booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of first- or second-degree murder.

Another teenager, believed to be related to the suspect, was shot twice and taken to a Seattle-area hospital.

Authorities said the two teens lived at the home.

Sources told KIRO 7 that at least some of the 911 calls that alerted authorities to the shooting came from people who were inside the home and hiding.

“They shot at other family members. I think it’s five people total, not counting the RP (reporting team) hiding in the bathroom,” one dispatcher said during the call, according to FOX13.

“Once the body is discovered, it becomes clear that this is a very important crime scene,” Melis explained.

Sheriff Patricia Cole-Kendall told KING-TV that the killings are “very sad and very upsetting.”

King County Councilwoman Sarah Perry said in a statement Monday night that seven members of the family were involved in the shooting.

The victim’s name had not yet been released as of Tuesday morning.

A horrified neighbor said the house, where a couple and their five children lived, was now a crime scene.

“I’m really shocked,” neighbor Lynn Trowane told KING-TV.

“I keep crying. So I have to go to my daughter’s house because I can’t stay here by myself. I just look at the faces of the children.”

Neighbors told FOX 13 the eldest son was about 15 years old.

They added that the children were known to be friendly and help neighbors with home projects, although their parents likely kept it secret.

“They’re very polite. They’re homeschooled. I can’t understand what happened,” Cameron, a former neighbor, recalled of the children.

“I just saw the kids in the driveway yesterday afternoon,” Troine said.

“It was very quiet up there until 4 o’clock yesterday. I think I had just gotten home from somewhere, and the kids were running around in the driveway as usual, and one of the boys was playing the piano in the garage. “But it was raining, so I went in,” she recalled.

She told the magazine that her children sometimes visited Troine’s home during the summer and on Independence Day.

“The kids would come on Independence Day and play with sparklers and things like that,” she said.

The nearby Snoqualmie Valley School District confirmed that at least two of the victims were still “school age,” but none attended school in the district.

The boy’s first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. local time.
